Take the flagship case for Bible Mandela Effect... Isaiah 11:6. Every textual witness we possess; the Great Isaiah Scroll from Qumran (c. 125 BC), the Septuagint, the Masoretic Text, the Vulgate, Irenaeus quoting it around AD 180, Chrysostom, Calvin, Matthew Henry, the 1611 KJV itself, and Spurgeon preaching on it by name in 1884 all say *wolf* with the lamb, not lion. Not one exception, in any century, in any language, including languages like Geʿez and Syriac that never passed through an English translator's hand at all. The lion is genuinely in the passage just two clauses later ("the calf and the young lion") and reappears in Isaiah 65:25. Revelation 5 then gives the church its two great titles for Christ: Lion of Judah, and Lamb who was slain. Add several centuries of art (Edward Hicks's *Peaceable Kingdom* paintings, which put a large lion at the center of the canvas while *lettering the actual wolf verse on the frame*) and hymnody (Thomas Dorsey's 1937 "Peace in the Valley": "the lion shall lay down by the lamb," later sung by Elvis), and you have every ingredient needed to produce a beautiful, memorable, *false* compression of three true biblical ideas into one non-existent verse. That compression was already being corrected in print, in denominational magazines and homiletics journals, decades before anyone had coined the term "Mandela Effect. #BibleMandelaEffect #Authorityofscripture
