Someone said you don’t have to do anything to be forgiven and go to heaven: Reply: Things you just DO to inherit eternal life. Jesus was asked that question clearly. Of the many I know of, ZERO CHRISTIAN denominations or ‘pastors’ [Disciples have one pastor.] proclaim this. 1. Disciples have one teacher only. The real Jesus in the 3 Gospels To follow Jesus correctly you must first agree he is your only teacher. “Do not be called #Rabbi, for one is your teacher the Christ... for one is your teacher the Christ” Matthew 23.8,10 2. You must forgive: Matthew 6:14-15 (KJV) 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. 3. You must keep the commandments: Matthew 19:16-17 NKJV – 16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” 17 So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” Luke 18:18-20 KJV – 18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. 20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. Luke 10:25-28 NKJV – And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?” Not keeping the #Torah law is called “lawlessness”. 3 times Jesus says the lawless won’t be in heaven : “Depart from me you who practice lawlessness”. Jesus only knew one law. 4. Matthew 25.31-end , the great judgement. Faith isn’t mentioned. [By the way, Jesus never once mention ‘Grace’]. The whole judgement is based on what you do and don’t do. Matthew 19.28-29. Again, eternal life is based on what you do. 5. Being rich lessens your chance to going to heaven. “ That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” 6. You must receive the kingdom as a child: “Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.“ ~Jesus 7. Is “fit for the kingdom” the same as eternal life? “No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.“ ~ #Jesus Bring these verses to a ‘pastor’ and watch how they erase Jesus.
