How I came to despise early morning "safety" meetings for 'professional' adults in a large office: 1. A decree to put a "Warning: Hot Liquid" above a kettle 2. A decree to put a "Warning: Do not insert a metal knife" into the toaster to liberate your piece of toast 3. A massive debate on banning women from wearing feminine shoes with even a small heel... because some git tripped on a step. In other words "safety" best-practice systems liked us stupid and ugly as per the Maoist "struggle" sessions that had to seek ever dwindling "crimes" using social peer-pressure. BTW I always use a metal knife to liberate my toast, because plastic ones tend to melt. I just unplug the damn toaster first... like my Mama taught me when I was a little girl. 😏
