**Did you know that residents and visItors of Svalbard are required to carry a high caliber rifle anytime they leave their settlements**❓ **The Reason is Polar Bears ~ JUST YESTERDAY IN SVALBARD, NORWAY...** *What makes polar bears so lethal is that in this location, food is very challenging to come by.  Anything and everything with a heart beat is a potential meal, and that includes humans.* **This amazing video shows a very brave guy trying to scare away a polar bear that entered and subsequently entrapped for hours everyone in Pyramiden, a semi-abandoned tourist destination about 50km northeast of the capital.** *Eventually, this polar bear gave up his search for this 'tasty snack' and moved on....  The last documented human death caused by a polar bear on the Svalbard archipelago occurred in 2020.*
