Spurgeon: Beloved, all heavenly things are ours. Believers are denied none of the luxuries of the banquet of mercy. Whatever belonged to any child of God, belongs to me. Whatever was enjoyed by the brightest of the saints, may be enjoyed by us, if by faith we are sitting at the table of grace. This day, we are no more strangers and foreigners, no more excluded and shut out, but we are brought nigh by the blood of Jesus. Our portion today, is like that of the ewe lamb which ate of its master’s bread and drank from his cup. (Edited excerpts from) “The Overflowing Cup” by CH Spurgeon, 1869 “My cup runneth over.” Psalm 23:5
