I've survived Hurricane Ian in Melbourne, FL and evacuated a little Cuban couple I'm providing home health care for in Satellite Beach, FL. It is a very high risk hurricane zone - recording 79 hurricanes since 1930. The largest hurricane to hit was Jeanine in 2004 and latest was Arthur in 2014. I had no idea doing this would be so harrowing yet so fulfilling to know I might have saved two people from drowning or having their home destroyed with them inside it! Power grid was down and flooding. I was also in the vicinity of the tornados seen on 1-95 & 192 in Melbourne!
