Lawyer types like to use rhetoric to prove the obvious insanity of the mind while neglecting the actual reality in which we live. "For example, the frame of reference to say "blacks believe this about white and whites believe this about blacks and it's the media thats making us divided," lacks any frame of reference. To say that homosexuals are under "attack" is another misnomer, unless you feel attacked by those who don't share you're lifestyle choice. Christians, in the true sense of the word, are assaulted and intimidated any time they potest or seek representation; anytime they attempt to establish a community and nation within which they can thrive. Given that there are those who dont want to live that lifestyle, yet they dont insist on infiltrating their institutions and perverting traditions, again, they occupy much well attack as in they are financially disenfranchised and people are trying to take over their institutions? Physically assaulted, spat on etc etc It's difficult to go to a church that isn't tainted by sexual immorality at the upper echelons of "power" or policy autocratic that control money; and that isn't tainting the teachings at it's most fundamental level. This is done even in the Vatican, which lays claim to be the "original" Christian church with "divine authority." Again, this is within the context of "Christianity" and the book with which it is most commonly associated, the Bible and the WORD contained therein to some degree. Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." 1 Corinthians 6, KJV The same could be said for some who identify as Jewish or even Muslim, yet the boots on the ground and how those boots are walking are what determines the reality. Many Christans believe varying levels of qualifications for what constitutes sexual immorality, for example with style and skin shown etc. Just as there are muslims who adhere to varying degrees of Sharia law.
