Sen. Rick Scott: Re-elected in 2024; not up again until 2030. SIX Year terms are a BIG problem for we-the-people and a safety net for those who choose to IGNORE their constituents. On the other hand, if you don't have a majority to support you, then you risk being black-balled by the party leader from any committees where you can be most effective. It's the DC swamp. It stinks. The ONLY solution, IMO, is to repeal the 17th amendment - but unfortunately requires the support of too many who benefit from it.
