This is a belt bag that I very recently made! Until now, I had been struggling with sewing a belt bag that I really liked. Finally I saw a photo of a belt bag made of four panels. It was made of felt, but I wanted to try and see if I could make one out of leather. I drafted my own pattern, and to my surprise it worked out extremely well! What I didn't expect is the bottom forming a flat square, making it capable of standing up on its own! A very happy accident to be sure! the flower detail is handpainted to look like a Kioko Snowflake Morning Glory flower, with a painted wooden button and a glass gem colored with alcohol ink! The shark tail keychain was something I made long time ago, and thought it might look interesting attached to the bag. The white cord is hand braided, and I just slipped on metal tube beads to make them look fancier.
