As Ron Paul shares in this Weekly Report, while politicians and reporters too-often collude in recent years, we should feel optimistic about the growth of independent media to challenge their Official Narrative, although we should not blind ourselves to ongoing threats from attempted censorship. As I might reiterate... We each have an equal God-given (or natural) right to speak freely. The U. S. Constitution's First Amendment explicitly protects this right from public censorship, including from politicians secretly colluding hand-in-glove with private-sector corporations (as they've done in recent years) to bias and/or censor our communications. By contrast, private censorship is perfectly legal but still unwise---it does not persuade but only silences, and it can lead to public censorship, which facilitates tyranny. Free speech (even more than bearing arms) is vital to keeping society free, and open dialogue is the best way to both correct error (even if some errors prove stubborn) and spread truth, which facilitates our progress, whether as individuals or as entire societies. Rather than curate communications, we should help each other to develop our innate capacity to discern. Whenever social-media companies sometimes become social-engineering companies by suppressing and/or silencing viewpoints that favor Christianity, nuclear families, libertarianism, the existence of conspiracies, et cetera, sending such alleged "WrongThink" down the "Memory Hole" as a modern form of book-burning, it's our right (and moral duty) to try to persuade them otherwise through economic activism. And it's also our right to engage in political activism to defy politicians who seek to enforce such policies on everyone. Let's please immediately thwart any/all public officers who dare to engage in proxy warfare against the U.S. Constitution and its wise protections of free speech, including any attempts to collude secretly with social-media censors to squelch opinions that they disfavor. Please stand firmly for open dialogue rather than censorship. Please help others to do likewise. Please do so while you still can. https://rumble.com/v75usmw-weekly-report-media-freedomif-we-can-keep-it.html #Journalism #Reporters #News #Gatekeeping #Bias #Censorship #CancelCulture #Dissent #Internet
