Bitcoin almost got me in a fight. I was at a bar/restaurant last night in Bangkok, the bar owner accepts BCH as payment and some guy overheard us talking about it. The guy is this super huge gorilla looking guy. He said he wanted to buy BTC but didnt know how. So I told him "well, I can sell you some right now" It was a pretty cool an exciting moment for him. He handed me some cash, and I sent over the equivalent in BTC - but for some reason his wallet wasnt detecting the broadcast. I think it was a wallet that only shows funds if there's at least 1 confirmation. It was super awkward because it looked like I didnt really send him anything. After an hour it still showed nothing. The guy was getting inpatient and skeptical, I gave him his money back out of fear. He could tell I was an honest guy and just said "it's fine, i'm sure if it will come in, if not I know where to find you" I then offered to show him how a bitcoin transaction "should look" by sending him $1 in BCH, his wallet instantly detected the broadcast. He grunted "oh shit, ok cool, maybe the other payment just takes a while" It's been like 16 hours and there's still 0 confirmation... i'm kinda scared to go back there now lol. I'm never doing a peer to peer BTC transaction again, this shit is so broken I don't want to risk getting in a fight.
