De-registering to vote after a move We lived in Ohio for 50+ years, we now live in Texas. We voted in 2024 in Ohio just before we moved. We registered in TX asap. Hearing about how the bad guys steal elections by voting fraudulently as folks who moved to another state, by the thousands, I looked into how to "un-register" in Ohio. I called that county's board of elections for information and instructions. They are sending cancelation forms for my wife and myself to fill out and return to them to cancel our registration in Ohio, for both counties we lived in. (Ohio counties coordinate, share registration info.) They said when we registered in TX, TX sent notice to Ohio, however... It's still best to send your own cancelation to your old state because sometimes the gears of government turn sloooow-lyyyyyy. Registrations in previous resident states left uncanceled are vulnerable to unscrupulous people, especially in states that do not validate signatures. Note that I did not find a cancelation form online, I think for security reasons, so they must be obtained by the real voter from their previous county BoE. #truethevote #stopthesteal
