Every #communist imagines themselves as the poet, the teacher, the #community organizer. The #intellectual. The one explaining things to others. Nobody ever says "I'll be picking potatoes in Siberia" or "I'll be operating the stamping press in Factory." This isn't unique to this person. It's #universal. When pressed about life under #communism, people project themselves into roles that require surplus wealth, leisure time, #institutional support, and #freedom from material #scarcity. The exact conditions that only #capitalism #creates. Under actual communist regimes, "media arts teacher" wasn't a job category. It was a #luxury. And #luxuries disappeared fast when #economies collapsed under central planning. You don't get to teach abstract concepts about visual media when the #state is rationing #bread. The #fantasy requires the #prosperity it seeks to destroy.
