A QUESTION I ASKED A MAN ON GAB. Your imput is welcome: “”” You say we have one teacher. And I’m happy you said that. But I want to ask you if you agree with Jesus on a something. You’ve been a good sport. And this isn’t a contest. At one time in my life I led many to the Gospel as I understood it then. But a few things happened. One is this verse, Matthew 12:36-37 (KJV) 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Also I had a dream in 2009 . In the dream these words were repeated over and over and over again. At the time this verse wasn’t one I payed much attention to. So I didn’t have it memorize at all. So I don’t think it’s possible that my brain would decided to repeat this verse over and over again in my head in its own. It would be like recalling your neighbors license plate when you’ve only seen it a few times ... You know the verse I’m about to post. In the dream the word “me” was changed to “you”. Another thing I don’t think my brain would do on his own. Here is the verse: the words that were changed are capitalized. Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon YOU, because he hath anointed YOU to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent YOU to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. ... But along with the verse before about idle words I started to ask “what is the Gospel according to Jesus”. other questions were “how do I heal the broken hearted?” “How do I preach deliverance to the captives?” “Who are the captives?” “What type of captive? Prisoners? Captive to sin?” My answer to how to heal, and how to release, and how to give sight to the blind, was answered in the first line. “Preach the gospel to the poor”. [your thoughts on the dream are most welcome. Did I come away with the wrong conclusion?] So I needed to know what #Jesus thought the Gospel was. And I thought of all the things I taught people, and I wondered if they were all true. As I read Jesus more, I realized my idea of the Gospel was not what Jesus said. I basically taught the Southern #Baptist Statement of #Faith. Ok....so you are a #Christian Pastor. And I Loved chatting with you yesterday just as I did my Muslim roommate from Yemen. People who seek Truth I respect. So here is the question. If I call a brother a moron, am I in danger of hell fire?
