He has an international warrant there for aggravated m*rder. ⠀ U.S. District Judge Jinsook Ohta, born in Seoul and nominated by President Joe Biden in 2021, ordered him out on August 26. She ruled ICE had held him five months without a bond hearing. ⠀ DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin called it a release that put American lives at risk. California had already cut him loose once after a 2023 machete as$ault arrest. ⠀ San Diego federal prosecutors later admitted they never gave Ohta his criminal history. She said Tuesday she would have kept him as a danger if she had been told, and she authorized ICE to pick him back up for a bond hearing. ⠀ He was not in court.
