Yesterday June 24th in history we acknowledge the leadership of generations as we fight for a more perfect union for all from the moment of conception. In the landmark 2022 decision we over turned Roe v Wade which has been a goal of the movement for many years. There. Is always work to be done but we should reflect on what we accomplished and that we tell the stories of the unborn. We have been procured in the media for what we believe spanning all faiths, believes and disability or not. We sometimes went to jail for our beliefs. We now in our communities have people with down syndrome who contribute. This is our day of celebration in our fight for the preborn and we grieve the babies we could not save. This is why we can’t be ashamed and should be proud despite the assumptions of society. A lot of people assume we do not care when a baby is born but we fight against assisted suicide, just because we saved a person with down. syndrome does’t mean we don’t know they won’t be first on the chopping block of assisted suicide. There is so much work to do to make abortion a thing of the past like fighting for adoption, so many disabled and gays want a baby even if not every family is ideal so many kids need a home. On this day we affirm our commitment that every human being is made in the image of God, and we pursue equality for all of his children and bringing a life into this world is a glorious mitzvah that we don’t live up to if we kill inside or outside the womb. Disability is liberty not pity.
