I have no sympathy. Back Home (Ohio) I was once approached by an agent for a Municipal Waste CoOp (yes they do exist), trying to sell their shit as fertilizer. This was before PFOS became knowable. I had one question for him, does it contain lead (always does, ask me why). He tried to avoid the question. I yelled for my oldest, "Get my guns", he left in a hurry. I also have no sympathies for; Chemical Farmers, or Welfare Farmers. They have earned their fate. Baby bought this farm (PA, a full Section) for a song, less than what the timber and mineral rights were worth; because the Chemical Farmer had destroyed the soil, and no timber agent was present. the closest I ever got to selling the mineral rights is when an oil/gas company agent offered $5K/acre for a 5 year lease for fracking wells.
