#new Lindsay Clancy copycats appear to be starting, as two separate women allegedly k*lled their toddlers then tried to commit suicide. In Illinois, police were called out to a home after a report of an unresponsive child. #illinois They found the 2-year-old toddler inside, and took him to a hospital where he was pronounced de*d. The Will County coroner’s office classified the de*th as an apparent homicide. Details from the autopsy have not yet been released. Police found the boy's mother inside the house trying to harm herself; she was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No charges had been announced, and the identities of the mother and child have not been released. A female neighbor said it was devastating that this could be “another Lindsay Clancy situation” in the neighborhood. Yet rather than have sympathy for the de*d child, she focused on the feelings of the mother saying This was a reminder that "someone next door could be suffering badly without anyone knowing, and that people should check on one another." Days before, another mother was arrested in Tennessee for k*lling her 2-year-old #tennessee Police were called out to a report of a bleeding, unresponsive child. Officers found Ephreana Brady on the front porch holding her 2-year-old daughter, who was shot. Brady was holding a handgun to her own head; cops grabbed both the gun and the child and took her to a nearby hospital where she later died. Brady was charged with first-degree m*rder and employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. The child’s name has not been released in official accounts. Brady is presumed innocent until proven guilty. The charging documents and police statements are the primary record. Critics say that the Clancy coverage and sympathy have created a situation that is already repeating, mother k*lls a small child, then tries to commit suicide and claims mental illness. Then, the first public instinct is to talk about the mother's suffering not recognized that a child has been m*rdered. When a mother is found with a de*d toddler, should the first question be what she was going through? or what did the child go through while being m*rdered by their own mother? Lindsay Clancy strangled her three children, Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months, on Jan. 24, 2023, then jumped from a 12-foot-high window in a failed suicide attempt.
