ELECTION FRAUD IS OUT OF CONTROL! Green Bay mailed duplicate absentee ballots in TWO elections, and officials still cannot give a firm count for the second mailing. Apparently keeping track of the ballots was too much to ask. The Wisconsin Elections Commission unanimously ruled September 9 that former clerk Celestine Jeffreys broke election law and abused her discretion. At least 152 voters received duplicates before the April election. Before the August primary, at least 244 received them, although printing records suggested the number could have reached 390. Jeffreys reprinted mailing labels without first establishing whether they were actually missing. The same basic "mistake" happened again after the first incident had already caused trouble. City officials say affected voters could not have more than one ballot counted. Voters also deserve an office that knows how many ballots it mailed. Jeffreys has resigned, and another person must now approve label reprints. It took two rounds of duplicate ballots to require someone to double-check the work.
