🌌 ・・・ http://Linktr.ee/fractalindigo ・・・ Japanese musician and artist Kenichi Kanazawa in a performance of Cymatics, the science of visible sound, using colored sand on a steel table to form beautiful geometric patterns, called Chladni Figures, in honor of the German physicist and musician, who was a of the pioneers in investigating this science. Note that the geometric patterns formed are directly related to the vibrational frequency produced by rubbing rubber rods on the steel table. The colored sand takes shapes as the vibrating frequencies appear, making the invisible, visible. All materials have a set of resonant frequencies that create stationary waves as symmetrical patterns. These waves are composed of nodes and antinodes. The nodes are areas where the amplitude of the wave is zero and are surrounded by antinodes, which are areas where the amplitude of the wave is maximum. Because of this, nodes are areas of lower energy, while antinodes are areas of high energy. With vibration, the sand placed on the steel table, therefore, is pushed out of the antinodes (maximum amplitude, high energy areas), to the nodes (zero amplitude, low energy areas), where it accumulates to define the patterns geometric shapes. As the frequency increases, the number of nodes increases, leading to increasingly complex patterns.
