This could be a big mistake. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is invoking the Emergencies Act, which gives the government more power to “restore order” in response to the Freedom Convoy protests. The truckers are actually the ones who are trying to restore order by defending the freedoms of Canadians—they want their Canada back! Several provincial premiers disagree with Trudeau. Alberta Premier Jason Kenney warned that he thinks Trudeau’s actions will "further inflame and potentially prolong the protests." I agree. This is another example of government bullying. Other provincial leaders have also spoken out against invoking the Emergencies Act against the truckers and those who intended to protest peacefully. Why can’t Trudeau just listen? The whole world is waking up to the facts about COVID and has learned that lockdowns don’t work. I’m thankful for the vaccine, I believe it can save untold lives—but let people choose for themselves. Instead of escalating the situation and not respecting these freedom-loving Canadians, why can’t Trudeau just listen to them and recognize their deep love for Canada? Could this be a Canadian revolution? They want freedom—and they need our prayers. https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/canada-police-response-protests-spotlight-after-key-bridge-us-cleared-2022-02-14/
