Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, & the Constitution do not use the term democracy to describe our form of gov. The authors of these documents ALL agreed on one point. The United States is not a democracy, & never was intended to be. Article IV Sec 4 Clause 1 - & The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion;...& It is a Republic, IF you can keep it.
