In "The City of God", Saint Augustine mocks Pagans for finding refuge in Christian Churches under siege as "proof" that Paganism is "false and cowardly idolatry." Yet, he defends Christian lapsi who renounced Christ and only returned when it was convenient. Self-serving hypocrisy. https://x.com/i/status/2021701520471790029
