In the first part, I explain as objectively as possible why the Scribes and Pharisees did not believe that Jesus was the promised Messiah (which allowed them to believe that the jews remained the chosen people to receive the ‘true’ Messiah). Consequently, I set out their arguments, which they paradoxically derive from the Gospels themselves. In the third part, I explain why it is reasonable to think that, originally, the early books of the Old Testament did not set out the story of a single god, but a far more astonishing story of a plurality of Elohim who dominated and ruled over the peoples of the Earth.
