God’s Definition of a Male: 1Samuel 25:22 So [or, May] God do to David and more also, if I will leave from all of the [things] of Nabal until [the] morning one urinating against a wall [fig., a male].” [Note: The literal Hebrew idiom (maštîn bəqîr) and its Septuagint rendering (ourôn pròs toîchon) define a male by basic anatomical reality—a person equipped to urinate against a wall; in other words, a human being with a penis. Scripture anchors sex and gender strictly in immutable, biological anatomy created by God: a person with male anatomy is a male, and a person without it is not. Most modern versions obscure this foundational truth by sanitizing the phrase into simply “male.” In doing so, they conceal the tangible, anatomical realism of the biblical text.
