—THE FARCE OF "FREE SPEECH" ON GAB: A BUSINESS BUILT ON VULNERABILITY AND HYPOCRISY— (PART 2) 3. Forced Geolocation And VPN Blocking: An Attack On Personal Safety As if that were not enough, Torba has actively blocked the use of virtual private networks (VPNs), preventing users from hiding their real location in order to protect their identity. But the height of irresponsibility—and the most blatant violation of user privacy—has been the implementation, without anyone's consent, of a geolocation feature that automatically displays the flag of a user's country of residence or temporary location on every post, with no option to hide it or change it. What kind of absurd logic went through Torba's mind when approving this? Did he genuinely believe—through some racially paranoid mindset—"If I add geolocation, I will be able to tell who is really White and who are Black people, Latinos, or Jews pretending to be American nationalists and Christians"? If that was the reasoning, it is completely irrational. A flag only reflects a temporary or permanent geographic location; it says absolutely nothing about someone's ethnic or religious background. The only thing this policy accomplishes is putting users in real danger. The right to personal security is a fundamental human right that protects physical and psychological well-being against threats and violence. By exposing users' locations while banning VPNs, Torba is effectively handing vulnerable people over on a silver platter. After measures like these, the questions become unavoidable: what comes next? Publicly displaying our IP addresses? Our phone numbers? 4. Betraying The Community And Putting Profit Above Principle Andrew Torba has entered a cycle of contradictions and increasingly desperate decisions. Just a few months ago, he was charging users to upload images and use the rich text editor; now he is charging people to keep their accounts private. His obsession with money appears to be clouding his judgment to the point of destroying his own platform in an attempt to squeeze as much money as possible out of the few users he has left. At this rate, he may eventually start charging people simply to create a Gab account—or even to publish a post. With this, Torba is not only failing the investors and partners who believed in his project—he is directly betraying the users who believed in him and stood by him when everyone else turned their backs on him. How many more people is he willing to sacrifice to please his Zionist masters and appease powerful institutions and organizations he is alleged to share data with, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation or the Anti-Defamation League? CONCLUSION: THE DEGRADATION OF A DIGITAL SPACE Real freedom of speech cannot depend on the greed of people who use it as bait—drawing in users who want to share valuable information and contribute thoughtful perspectives, only to pressure them into accepting abusive terms and paying for low-quality, insecure services that ultimately violate their rights. Gab's current state is bleak. What fills the platform each day no longer resembles freedom of expression; instead, it increasingly feels like a constant display of the worst aspects of human behavior: moral decay, indifference, envy, harassment, hate speech, and endless conflict. Meaningful content has largely disappeared, replaced by an endless stream of memes, automated links from #YouTube and other platforms, short text posts with little substance, and constant infighting between users. The result is no longer an open space for genuine discussion, but a platform consumed by noise, hostility, and increasingly little of the value it originally promised. Paying a monthly subscription for an environment this wild, negative, dangerous, and insecure—while being offered content of such poor quality—is not just disappointing; it feels like an insult. Platforms such as #X, Facebook, #Parler, #Mastodon, #Minds and others offer a vastly superior experience entirely free of charge—and include: 🔸 Attaching multiple images 🔸 Uploading high-definition videos without restrictive file-size limits 🔸 Scheduling posts 🔸 Privacy controls to limit our posts to: everyone, verified accounts, accounts we follow, or only mentioned users 🔸 Creating groups 🔸 Downloading and exporting our own content 🔸 Access to AI-powered tools 🔸 Using VPNs freely 🔸 Locking our accounts Gab has become a parody of itself: a platform that once promised #Freedom, only to end up building a paid digital prison—unsafe, invasive, and ultimately controlled by the ego of its own creator. #ADL #FBI #VPN #Privacy #Zionism #Security #Facebook #Censorship #FreeSpeech #Geolocation #SocialMedia #FreedomOfSpeech
