—ANIMAL ABUSE IS NORMALIZED IN CHINA— 🚫 🇨🇳 A video of children in #China playing by dropping kittens on the ground—filmed and posted on social media by their laughing parents—is currently going viral. Such actions treat a young life as a toy and constitute clear #AnimalCruelty. Kittens have delicate and fragile bones, and the impact with the ground carries an extremely high risk of causing fractures, internal organ damage, or death. ■ The Problem With The Parents' Attitude: The fact that the parents laugh at this as "play" and publish it online is equivalent to teaching their children that "abusing the weak is fun." It is highly likely that a value system disregarding the sanctity of life is being instilled at home, which cannot be overlooked. ■ Similar Past Incidents: In China, there have been multiple other reported cases of children killing kittens by throwing them onto the ground or swinging them around. Cases have been confirmed where a kitten was slammed onto the ground outside a pet shop and killed, as well as incidents where a kitten was repeatedly slammed onto the ground until it died. While some point out that a weak legal framework regarding penalties for #AnimalAbuse in China lies in the background, is that really all there is to it? This is simply revolting and unforgivable! Seeing children torture such a helpless creature is horrific enough on its own, but the fact that the parents themselves are standing there, laughing and recording the whole thing to post on social media as if it were a joke, shows an absolute moral rot. What kind of "parents" teach their own children that the pain of others is a source of entertainment? They aren't raising human beings; they are nurturing future psychopaths by instilling in them that abusing the weak is okay as long as it amuses you. A kitten is not a toy; it is a fragile life that feels terror and real physical pain. And no, this can't be justified solely by blaming the laws or the lack of punishment. The law shouldn't be the only thing stopping you from being a monster. This isn't just a failure in legislation; it is a total lack of basic empathy, education, and human decency within the family unit.
