As I flew out of a dark tunnel driving WAY TOO FAST a motorcycle officer pointed his radar gun squarely at my car. As I sped by his flashing red lights came on and I immediately pulled around the corner, stopped and began pulling out my license and registration. When he came to the window I said, “Officer, I am 100% Guilty As Charged! My wife just frantically called to say I had dropped her off at the wrong doctor’s office and I needed to immediately take her to another location, but that doesn’t take away my wrong. I am so sorry officer.” “You were going 58 in a 35 zone. That’s dangerously excessive speed” and I replied, “Yes sir, that’s true. You are absolutely correct.” The officer went back to his motorcycle and began apparently writing up a ticket that I certainly deserved. After a fairly long wait, he came back and said, “This is just a warning today. Just be careful OK?” So instead of receiving PUNISHEMENT I instead received a PARDON. Our life before God works just like that. As today’s scripture verse says just one violation makes us guilty as if we had violated every law, but here is where God’s Grace & Mercy come in because the Bible says: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 Friend, you will always receive a 'Pardon' from sin when you openly and sincerely confess before God that you are '100% Guilty As Charged' because whenever you do, the LORD will ALWAYS FORGIVE. How do you plead before God in your life?
