There is no such thing as the “greater good”. There is only ‘the good’. The concept of value exists only to the living individual. What promotes and enhances one’s life is ‘the good’. What degrades and threatens one’s life is ‘the evil’. The tribal collectivist concept of “greater good” is in the category ‘the evil’ as it’s used to justify human sacrifice (the sacrifice of some for the “greater good” of the collective).
