IMPLICATIONS OF CURRENT US MILITARY PLANNING Regarding Current Rumors that the US hopes to Seize Iranian Islands in the Gulf during our Next Attack; those Islands would immediately become subject to continuous Artillery, Drone and Missile Bombardment from the mainland. Most analysts believe the Army would have to seize a coastal strip of territory 150-250 miles inland to Reduce the Bombardment. Estimates of 250-300,000 Troops have been mentioned. Although there are currently 328,000 serving in the Army National Guard, less than 50000 are serving in Combat Arms. And although the active duty Army currently is 452000 strong, only 68,000 are in Combat Arms. Do the math. A Draft would be Necessary.
