UKRAINE REJECTS US PEACE INITIATIVE The diplomatic mission to Kyiv by U.S. presidential envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner ended with an explicit public dismissal from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Rejecting the Kremlin’s demand to pull back to the administrative borders of Donetsk Oblast, Zelensky went a step further, openly mocking the American mission by remarking that the envoys had “performed even better than Patriot systems” in granting the capital a 72-hour pause in strikes.
