We need answers…. @realdonaldtrump The DOJ is absolutely right to investigate gasoline pricing at Shell, BP, ExxonMobil, and across the entire oil industry and supply chain! At least so we know more:) A free market does not mean freedom from scrutiny. The gasoline ⛽️being sold today did not suddenly appear in the supply chain this morning. Much of it was purchased, transported, refined, and distributed over weeks or months. Yet prices at the pump can jump overnight based on speculation, fear, or the possibility of a future shortage, even when there is no actual shortage. Then, when oil prices fall, somehow the savings take weeks to reach American 🇺🇸consumers. That deserves an investigation. If these prices are legitimate, transparent, and competitive, the companies can prove it. But if speculation is being used as an excuse to inflate margins, restrict supply, or keep prices artificially high, the American people deserve to know. This is exactly what government should be doing: protecting competition, following the money, and holding powerful corporations accountable. Thank you to President #Trump and the #DOJ for asking the question millions of Americans have been asking every time they fill their tanks and every time there is “news” about the Middle East in turmoil for DECADES! this did not begin with Trump nor will it end! Are we paying for actual gasoline costs, or are we paying for corporate speculation and fear?
