DeSantis Orders Flock Cameras Off Florida State Highways in 30 Days. Florida has revoked permits for Flock cameras and other license plate readers on the state highway system. Agencies have 30 days to take them down or the state will remove them. New installations on state roads are also being blocked. Gov. Ron DeSantis called the cameras “out of control,” saying he supports tools to catch criminals but does not want Florida turned into a surveillance state.
