Public speaking is an incredibly important skill for children to develop. The world they will launch into requires more resourcefulness than ever. The ability to influence with their words is instrumental. And remember soft skills are harder to be replaced by robots. They can replace programmers, drivers, store clerks…but using original thought to influence with words will be reserved for those who are distinctly human the longest. We’ve done this by having kids give little speeches in front of the family, ordering for themselves at restaurants, doing speech and debate… Recently the kids have a weekly show called the courageous kids podcast exclusively in the Be Courageous App with 62 episodes. In addition we get the Epoch Times newspaper and our olders are going to start picking a news story and teaching it to the family. Get creative. Watch speeches. Teach the art of rising and lowering your voice, powerful pauses after questions, eye contact skills, eliminating filler words, increasing speed and then lowering at the right times, and motivation to grow their vocabulary. You can change the world with the stroke of a pen and with the right words, said in the right way, and at the right time! Motivate your children to become great communicators. From the fruit of a man's mouth his stomach is satisfied; he is satisfied by the yield of his lips. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. -Proverbs 18:20-21 #truth #parenting #beresolute
