I was HAPPY thinking some good #movies came out this week that I wanted to see..... BUT..... while RUNNERS was OK (at least an attempt at a new reason to build yet another shoot-em-up action film around) THE UPRISING - SUCKED* THE FIX - SUCKED * yet another Studio attempt at a Robin Hood reboot FAIL ----------------------------- #movies, what was YOUR SURPRISE HIT of the Year???? For me, remains, HAIL MARY PROJECT, kinda came out of the blue, was not expecting it, was not heavily promoted until LAST MINUTE. Liked it so much, saw it 3 times in the Theater!!!! SUPERGIRL, had so many BAD ELEMENTS, but overall story bottom-line was actually GOOD - did not deserve the piling on of HATE it got. [and Milly was FINE in her part, but she deserved IMO all the extra-non-film commentary bullshit, she ZEGLER'ed the film] YOU KNOW how INFLUENCERS and SOCIAL MEDIA gets at times, everyone LOVES jumping on a BANDWAGON and VIRTUE SIGNALING (good or bad narrative)... related...
