Las Vegas will not lose its water. In the early 2000s, Las Vegas drilled a third intake deep below Lake Mead, nicknamed the "Drinking Straw". It can draw water even if Lake Mead falls below "dead pool". Dead pool is when the water level drops below the lowest outlet pipe, but the lake is far from empty. The losers will be southern California and Arizona.
