Anger seems to be at an all-time high nowadays and comes from people of every walk. I overcame anger in my life because I was ultimately convicted by the Spirit to not be like those who had provoked and conditioned me into becoming an angry person. Rather than speak as David Banner of the 70’s Incredible Hulk series and reportedly Will Smith who once told a CNN interviewer, “You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry,” an angry person should ask themselves if they like acting out of anger. Do they like the harm that it causes in themselves as well as to others? If they genuinely mean no harm, they too would be convicted to repent of anger as I did and then look to God who helps me to overcome it. Psalm 34 has a verse that says, “Turn from evil, do good, seek peace, and pursue it.” Such a statement is not a commandment or guidance.
