Its has come to my attention today that there is something called an Ilamp that has been deployed to, at the time of writing, a Warwickshire car park. These lamps have been developed by ConFlow Power Group. These lamp posts are of a modular design but, do the standard functions that you’d expect from a lamp post. They can be equipped with the following capabilities: -Cameras in 360 degrees, these can be normal cameras or ones cable of facial object recognition such as faces, cars and number plates are possible. -Cylindrical solar panel & built in batteries to help cover the 15 W powered requirements of the onboard AI chip -AI Chip is included that is made by Nvidia to perform the real time inference workloads on site or can be used as part of a decentralised network that can be pooled together to make up a large amount of compute. The processors are designed to become dead weight if they are attempted to be stolen as they are worth a lot of money. -Can be equipped with a drone charger -Can be equipped to act as a 4G or 5G cell tower -Weather Station -Charging Station of electric vehicles such as an E scooter or E bike. -Noise detection for events such as shootings -Smoke, radiation, gas detection -Inbuilt Seismology detection The deployment of theses cameras is not limited to the UK and there is plans for them to be deployed in Nigeria as well as parts of Florida. There has been a lot of discussion about flock cameras recently. These devices allow for every light post to become a surveillance device that can be used either for or against the interests of the local people. References: Conflow Power Group (2024).
