School run fiasco Marina Crescent in Roby school run parking is yet another kmbc disaster. This road is now closed to traffic from 8am to 9am and 2.30pm until 3.30pm. The result sees cars parked in surrounding roads and causing even more mayhem as traffic struggles to get on and off the estate. Kmbc say this is an 18 month test to see if residents are happy, but it seems most people are sick to the back teeth of it already. Traffic wardens operate and cameras have been installed to catch drivers breaching the regs here. Looks like a council money making scheme if ever there was one. Despite suggestions on school run parking, kmbc have ignored them. Twickenham Drive at the back of the schools lays empty and would be the ideal place to park with minimum effect on local roads. This could have been used, along with possible parking on part of the field at the back of the schools if stoned over. Perhaps if some of the bone idle local parents walked their kids to school it might help, but this is the biggest problem. Opening up the walk way from Oak Road to Twickenham Drive, which was once a road, would go a long way in relieving the pressure of entry and exit onto the estate, but again, that would be a tad difficult for imbecile road planners to understand eh? Pot holes Staying on the road situation: Pot holes are getting worse everywhere as council taxes rise. Spending priorities are a joke as is evident by wasteful arty signs and politicians and councillors salaries and expenses. Worse are pot holes right next to road humps, making the situation even more dangerous and damaging. Maybe something will change when people start suing kmbc for damaged vehicles and injured drivers as is their right in law. Finally, for now, we have the issue of another refuse bin forced on everyone. Two food waste bins; one for inside and one for outside for people to spend more time in unpaid work for kmbc by sorting refuse.
