it's basically just severely mentally ill ppl going online and becoming convinced that the problem isn't that they have a serious and severe mental illness but that they've magically been born in the wrong body and that all they have to do is take a couple pills and fall asleep on the surgery table and they'll magically wake up all better but they don't wake up all better, they just wake up without their breasts or testicles or some other major body part and they're still severely mentally ill - so the problem has only gotten worse
