English sucks.  The word "love" comes from the Germanic, or Dutch, "lubh".  Which simple means "to desire.". Think about it, you'll agree. The Greeks had concepts that went being this.  Eros, Philia, Storgia, and Agape.  Agape being the Christian notion of love. But the best we can do to express these in English is: Love, Nerd, Bro, and Sucker
