No he wouldn't like the Talmud. Their are many messianic jews today that reject the Talmud.. Jesus was called rabbi. He called the temple his father's home. His language, culture and tradition was that of the Jewish people. He preached in their synagogues. He announced himself the messiah in his home town synagogue and was rejected and almost stoned to death. Mathew was Jewish and soundly hated by his people for being a tax collector.
