Jesus was a little Jewish boy when he got lost in the temple. Jesus was Jewish when his followers referred to him as rabbi. Jesus was Jewish when he preached in the synagogues. He spoke the language, he did the traditions and he practiced the culture. Mary was Jewish. Joseph was Jewish. He never called himself a gentile or a Christian at the time.
