This is exciting news! KEEP passing the petition on, and encouraging people to sign it. AND, again, just to be crystal clear on how the process works: We put pressure on our state legislatures to nominate delegates to a Constitutional Convention for the purposes of instituting FINANCIAL accountability. (i.e., for a specific purpose) This limits what they can discuss at the Convention. They meet, they draw up a Constitutional Amendment, they vote. If enough of them vote for it (a super-majority, or 2/3rds), THEN the proposed amendment is sent to to the legislatures for approval. Just as with Constitutional amendments that are passed via Congress, any amendments proposed by a Convention of States MUST ALSO BE approved by 2/3rds of the state legislatures. I.e., this is no slam dunk for socialism.
