My intention for the Super Bowl was not to watch it. But around 1:30 ET, I switched on CBS Sports. About ten minutes in, the Spirit of God took over. I was so disgusted with the shallowness and intellectual zero-ness of the pre-show, where the presenters made everything about themselves, making themselves the news, and the hollowness of even the pre-show advertising, and the subliminal pagan messaging that I not even switch channels but turned the TV off. Instead of watching their pre-school-level show, I went on to read the book of James, all five chapters, which brought into my consciousness a few salient points I had lapsed on in my Christian life. Praise God I did. How about you?
