Few eyes indeed can perceive true beauty. Only when we can step from this fleshly veil and look with the eyes of the heart can we begin to comprehend beauty. Beauty is not a fleshly configuration but rather it is the flow of a godly spirit in streams of light and love. Beauty is so very rare and precious that few indeed ever seek to gain the spiritual maturity necessary to see that which the Spirit sees. All flesh shall wither, decay, and die. Multitudes spend vast sums and countless hours thinking to evade the ravages of time; all to no avail. Only the beauty of the godly heart is both timeless and forever without diminishment. Only the beauty of the born-again heart and the surrendered spirit can rightly be thought eternally precious in the sight of God. Beauty is not skin deep. It has nothing to do with flesh. Only the children of this world think themselves wise in seeking beauty in the midst of their unavoidable decay. God truly made all things beautiful in His sight. We must come to cherish and practice his wisdom above our own. Beauty is that which honors God and reflects a full commitment to his way. This is beauty indeed! Close your eyes and open your heart. See?
