4 Sept 1944: #Japanese Ambassador to Germany Hiroshi Oshima, while at the Wolf's Lair, presses German dictator Adolf Hitler to reach a peace with the Soviets, so that #Germany can concentrate its troops on the Western front and thereby take pressure off of #Japan in the Pacific.
