Believing "An enemy of my enemy is my friend" leads to trouble. 'cause, on the contrary, they may just be another enemy. Jesus said a far superior phrase, which He told His disciples when they referred to an outside 3rd party: "He who is not against us, is on our part". I see many literally joining hands with those that would also destroy what they claim is good just to fight whatever 'enemy' that they prefer to fight. As Paul said "For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?" For any who consider themselves Christians... It betrays an element of distrust in the Power and Sovereignty of God. They trust in the reed of Egypt, in alliances, horses, & their own understanding... Rather then trusting that God is for us, so who can truly be against.
