The sole purpose of the First Amendment/free speech is to assist in the search for the truth in any given subject. Truth is above political parties, which are unbalanced binaries, by definition. Therefore, truth is singular, and any party that isn't working as hard as possible to be the most supportive of free speech is failing at the most fundamental level. US politicians should be competing like Olympic athletes to see who can be the most patriotic by relentlessly working toward ever-more truth in language (and the Constitution in general). Anyone supporting loopholes in 1A with BS like 'hate speech' should be seen clearly for what they are: suspect.
