The Earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof, the world and all who dwell therein.(psalm 23,1) Today the funeral and last rites has been offered for the recently departed ex metropolitan Vlasie (Mogarzan) of Slatioara. In the last years he has been expelled from the Synod, but during his last days on Earth, his grace Vlasie confessed and took communion by the hands of his friend, the present-day Metropolitan Demosten of Slatioara. So, the anathema has been lifted and his grace Vlasie has been buried in Slatioara Monastery, as all his predecessors. Give rest, O Christ, to thy servant Vlasie, our Father, with thy saints, where sorrow and pain are no more; neither sighing, but life everlasting. His grace Vlasie, fourth metropolitan of the Old Calendarist Church of Romania, has fallen asleep. Memory Eternal!
